What did you do this weekend?

Are weekends for rest and relaxation, or for getting things done? A little of both I suspect. I can tell you that SLEEP is always first on my agenda every weekend. If I couldn't sleep in on Saturday and Sunday, I think I'd die before I made it to Friday each week. Okay, so it would help if I went to bed earlier on the weeknights, but that's the best time of day, and hard to call it quits! (Despite having a job that starts at 7am.)

I also always have a somewhat ambitious To Do list (either written or in my head) and I never, I repeat, never finish everything on that list. This time I got through about half of my list. "That's not bad", you might be thinking? Except that it was a rather short list this time around. Mostly, I slept, I read, and I watched TV.

The question is, do I feel guilty about not being more productive? Well, I'm not sure. I think it's more that I think I SHOULD feel guilty for partaking in a little R&R. But, I work hard all week and I deserve a break, right?

It comes down to this. What are we here for? What are we doing on this Earth? (this posting just got deep, I know) Are we here to enjoy ourselves, or are we here to achieve? A little of both, I suspect. It's all about balance.
